Commercial Operation Commences at Hirado Solar Power Plant in Nagasaki Prefecture

TOUCHI INTERNATIONAL CORP. began commercial operation of a solar power plant constructed in Hirado City, Nagasaki Prefecture on June 24, 2016. As an important base for our renewable energy business, it will supply approximately 2,500 MWh of clean energy annually.

Overview of the Power Plant

The solar power plant installed in Hirado City, Nagasaki Prefecture, is located in an area where high-efficiency power generation can be expected by leveraging the abundant solar radiation in Nagasaki Prefecture. With the understanding and cooperation of local governments and residents, we have completed construction work with full consideration for the environment. The design has been adopted with consideration for harmony with Hirado's beautiful landscape.

Contribution to the Region

Through the operation of this power plant, we are supplying clean electricity to the region, contributing to local finances through fixed asset taxes, achieving economic effects through maintenance contracts with local companies, and realizing coexistence with the local community. Additionally, we are planning to provide a venue for environmental learning for local elementary school students.
